Conceived by Dominic Walsh and Antoine Plante, Romeo & Juliet reimagines Shakespeare's timeless tragedy through a fusion of dance, opera arias, choral music, theater, stage combat, and live period-instrument performance.

Drawing from Vivaldi's operatic arias, concertos, and instrumental masterpieces, the production reveals the extraordinary dramatic power of the composer's music while offering a visually striking and emotionally charged interpretation of one of literature's most enduring stories.
Originally developed through a collaboration between Mercury Chamber Orchestra and Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, Romeo & Juliet occupies a unique space between opera, dance, and music theater. By combining Shakespeare's universal drama with the passion, elegance, and intensity of Baroque music, the production offers audiences a fresh perspective on a familiar story while remaining deeply faithful to its emotional core.
